a fall look

October 10, 2010

I absolutely love Fall and Winter so when the air starts to chill, I am instantly a happier girl! I thought I would play around with Polyvore today and I came up with a Fall look like that love.

I went with a softer muted color palette with a couple of vintage/victorian throw backs. Want to know more about all of the pieces? Click here to view everything. Happy Fall!

Look Inspiration – Summer Sailing

April 27, 2010

I had a few minutes at work to play today. After I updated my portfolio and about page, I made a bee-line for Polyvore. I absolutely love this site. You really could sit there for hours just putting stuff together. I was day dreaming of sailing in The Hamptons so that is the inspiration for this look. Give it a try for yourself (warning — you will get hooked).

Shoe Crafty

April 23, 2010

Yes, you can now get crafty with your shoes! Zazzle offers a service that will customize a pair of Keds with your design. How cute would a matching pair of shoes for me and Gia be? Yes, I am one of those Moms — don’t look at me like that! I also know Xander would love to put his artistic talent to work on something he can show off to all of his friends. The only down fall is that they are still a little expensive, at $60 I could buy several pair of cute flip flops for the Summer. Oh well, it is still a cool idea none the less.

Look – Sweet Afternoon

March 16, 2010

A Sweet Ensemble

Wouldn’t this be so pretty on a Spring afternoon? I love design, color and pattern in just about every medium and clothing is no exception. I recently found Polyvore (via Mia Joie). The website lets you piece together looks from different clothing stores. You can also add neat effects and backgrounds. The information where you can purchase each piece is listed so you can purchase your set when you are done putting it altogether. This is definitely a fun website to play around with! I can guarantee you will be seeing more of these posts in the future.
