I was browsing Etsy this evening and decided to put together a little wish list of sorts for Valentine’s Day. (Yes, this is the best way to let The Baconator know what I have my eye on!)
1. I Love You More Than Bacon Card – Yes, this would mean alot coming from The Baconator!
2. One Dozen Vanilla Heart Marshmallows – These would be yummy in some hot chocolate.
3. Killer Love Note – The little note is contained in an actual egg. Super cool!
4. Burlap Heart Pillow – I am so into burlap right now.
5. Burlap Heart Banner – Again, with the burlap but I can see this hanging in my office.
6. Set of Valentine’s Soap – Such a cute little gift set. Pampering is always good.
7. Fudge Pops – Need I say more?

I am turning the big 34 next Thursday! While some people are terrified of growing old and getting gray hair, etc I look at it as a badge of honor. It is one more year that I have been blessed to be on this earth. Oh and who could forget the presents? Speaking of which, I thought it would be fun to put together a little wishlist of goodies I would love for my birthday (take the hint Baconator!).

1. Whimseybox – Have you heard of this? It is a super cool subscription service that will send you a little box of craft goodies every month. I think this could do wonders for inspiration!
2. XBox Kinnect – I have been wanting this for awhile. I think it would be a fun way to get in shape and play games with the kids.
3. Messenger Bag – I have a love for messenger bags and this one is super cool with the photo image of a camera.
4. Graphic Art Print – This sums up most of my day so it would be nice to have it hanging in the office.
5. iPad Paint Brush – This is actually a kid’s version but I think it is super cool. It allows you to paint using your iPad.
6. Pop-Up Flash Bounce – I so need this for indoor photos of the kids I take at night.

If you own a handmade business and you aren’t joining the weekly tweet ups with Jessika at Oh My Handmade Goodness then you are definitely missing out. I try and make it every week and each time I do I learn so much from it as well as connect with some really cool peeps. This week was all about preparing your business for the Holidays and there were some great ideas thrown around (some of which I will be using myself).
Oh and about those cool peeps I meet…here is one of them! Cupcakes by Clara is a new Etsy shop but I can see her taking this to the next level VERY quickly. She meets a lot of my “things to do before you open a business” checklist. Great branding, great product photos, unique product offerings…
I have those sweet little kitten finger puppets on Santa’s list for Gia!

I was browsing through some of the new exhibitions at paper n stitch when I came across this beautiful pendent by maureen mae. What really caught my eye was her product photography….it is absolutely fabulous and shows that you don’t have to go fancy with photos to make a great impression. A nice, clean bright shot will win over customers every time!
