I came home the other day to find this little guy on the ground beside a tree in our front yard. It didn’t have any eggs so I am thinking that it fell when the city was trimming the trees away from the power line last week. I picked it up and started looking at it…this thing was absolutely awesome. The way that the bird had put it all together was just amazing so of course I took some photos of it.
And some say, “There is no God.” Seriously, this is proof enough. It is amazing that a tiny little creature could have the knowledge to create such a dense and tightly bound nest to birth her young. Think of the time it took, the resources she used and the effort to keep those first couple of twigs, leaves and debris in place. Man, that must have been nerve racking.
Hmmmm, to bad we can’t teach them to knit…LOL! Now, that would be awesome!
