Blaker's WWE Party
So the party was a success and I have to admit it was pretty fun to plan. It just sucks that I can’t do a pool birthday party for either of my munchkins (Feb & Nov birthdays). I only have one sibling…my little sister who has three boys. Since she has been living in Alabama for the last few years and I hardly ever get to see my nephews. The oldest, Blake (aka Blakers to me) has the same birthday as my Mom and it just so happened that with school starting back and my sister getting a new job on the weekends we had to do 2 parties for him…one here and then she did one there. Of course, me being me I had to come up with a theme for the cupcakes and such and when my Mom mentioned that he was all into wrestling I thought “hmm ok I can do this!”.
For the cupcake toppers, I printed and cut out all of his favorite wrestlers and glued toothpicks on the back. I didn’t have time to make the cupcakes so I went to a local bakery near my office (if you follow me on Twitter, you know which one I mean). They did an awesome job and the cupcakes tasted yummy. I opted for red and white icing with black liners to match the WWE logo.
I went simple on the decorations..red, white and black balloons and then matching plates, napkins and cups. I knew most of the time the kids would be in the pool, that was the crowd pleaser anyway. If you know me then you know I am deathly afraid of rubber balloons…mylars I can handle but something about the anticipation of those rubber balloons pooping scares the beegeez out of me! Since The Baconator was stuck in traffic I decided to brave it and carefully stuffed 3 bunches into the backseat of my Jeep. I was driving about two miles an hour all the way home, it was almost ridiculous but I made it!
And onto the photos…

Blakers enjoying the pool!

Pawpaw with the littlest ones (Memphis & Tristan).

Gia is such a crazy nut in the pool, she runs around screaming “Cannonball!” and then jumps in. She can’t swim yet but that little floaty bathing suit keeps her above water pretty good. I love this set of shots.

Don’t you love the deck? We absolutely do! Heather’s husband Tommy did an awesome job.

OMG! We own that same patio set! :-D
Looks like a crazy-fun party!
Isn’t it cute? I originally wanted IKEA but they didn’t have anything left. :( We happen to be in Walmart getting some stuff for his party and I spotted it (on sale too) so I grabbed it up because it was the last one.
Fun, fun, fun! What a great party. I am so glad that you were able to enjoy some time with your family. The deck looks great and seems to be getting lots of love from the cannonball queen as she jumps off the side of it!
